Kenyans are known to be very dark in complexion but
nowadays, wealthy Kenyan women have embrace fair
complexion color due to high demands from their male
partners.

A new trend has emerged in Kenya as ladies now use illegal
'skin-bleaching' injections which cost about $70 a pop to
dramatically lighten their skin pigment in days.
The skin bleaching process involves injecting mercury-
containing creams which are intended to be applied topically,
because they become more effective.
Beauticians claim that the injections can make customers look
six years younger than their age and it makes their skin a ten
shades lighter, and they are gaining particular popularity on
Nairobi's River Road - a busy marketplace notorious for it
black market commerce and bribed law enforcement.
