Bomb blast reported at Maiduguri Monday Market...30 killed

Two female suicide bombers on Tuesday morning hit a crowded market in Maiduguri, Borno State, killing several people.

The bomb was detonated at Baba Laying, a very popular area inside the Monday market in Maiduguri.

The area, according to reports, has huge concentration of people undertaking commercial activities.

However, a third suicide bomber was caught and killed by an angry mob.

The bomber was apprehended and hacked to death before she could denote the bomb hidden in her hijab.

An unconfirmed report says 65 bodies had been removed from the scene of the explosion.

But emergency agencies and others at the site of the blast claimed that 30 people were killed in the incident.

The scene of the explosion has been condoned off by security agencies, while rescue operations are ongoing.The bomb explosions happened at about 11.30am.
